The Consumer Technology Association (CTA), previously known as the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), has announced the honorees for the Consumer Electronics Show 2016 Best of Innovation Awards. Leading the way in the Vehicle Intelligence category is the Ford F-150 and its Pro Trailer Backup Assist. To use the feature, the driver simply "teaches" the system to work with a specified trailer (a ten minute process). It can store information for ten trailers, and when the driver turns a knob on the dash, the truck performs the rest of the reversal process automatically.
Exclaiming his excitement about the honor, Raj Nair, Ford Group CTO and V.P. of Global Product Development commented: "Pro Trailer Backup Assist is another example of Ford leveraging new technology to make every-day driving tasks easier.”
