The 2022 Ford Edge comes with two engines: a 2.7-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost®, delivering 355 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque, and a 2.0-liter direct-injection, turbocharged motor, delivering 250 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque.

This new Ford model has various drive modes to choose from depending on road conditions and automatic start-stop technology that reduces emissions and conserves fuel by switching off the engine when the car is stopped.

The 2022 Ford Edge has an eight-speed transmission with race-inspired technology for seamlessly switching gears to provide a sporty feel and an intelligent all-wheel-drive system with sensors that check and balance torque between all the wheels for maximized traction and enhanced handling around Lindale.

It also has an independent suspension, roll stability, torque vectoring and hill-start assistance.

Technology

The 2022 Ford Edge keeps the driver and passengers secure with the Ford Co-Pilot360™ driver-assistance technologies, including blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alerts that detect objects in blind spots and traffic when backing out. Pre-collision assist and emergency braking prevent potential crashes by braking automatically.

The Ford Edge has evasive steering assistance that enhances steering support and warns the driver when maneuvering around cars ahead. Automatic high-beam lamps scan roads and light up in bad lighting, then dim when they detect lights to avoid blinding other motorists.

Also, lane-keeping assistance has two modes to keep drivers in the right lane- alert mode provides steering-wheel vibrations, and aid mode centers drivers by applying steering torque. Adaptive cruising control slows the SUV when traffic slows or stops, and lane centering detects lane markings to help keep you centered.
